I tried my hand at the Martha Stewart tissue paper pom-poms and I think the carnage was displayed here several months back.. (and that's just where it will stay!) I'm up to trying again though. This time I think I'm going to follow this wonderful tutorial for DIY fabric pom-poms at Once Wed.

Museum of Science and Technology

We received a great Family Christmas present this year.

A year long membership to 3 Ottawa area museums. The Agriculture Museum, the Aviation Museum and The Museum of Science & Tech which is currently holding a Lego Exhibit that is wonderful! Kids of err umm all ages can make Lego cars and trucks and race them on special race tracks, sit in a bona fide Lego Race Car and tour the amazing Lego structures. I think we'll be going back soon.

a messenger bag like no other

It's hard to find anything that's indestructible now days.. but I think I have finally found a messenger bag that is. Available at Supermarket the seat belts used to make this bag are pretty much impossible to break. In fact they dare you to try.

In an effort to reduce, reuse and recycle or errrr.... in an effort to look beautiful. I decided to find a return address Stamp when we moved into our new house a short while ago. I found many wonderful stamps and will never go back to sticky address labels again! I would really like to frame this soon, but there are others higher on the list. I'm happy with my recycled magazine artwork though.. perhaps I have more of these in my future.

new years resolutions

How about improving upon my sense of community as a New Years resolution? I would like to get a big copy of this for my kitchen to remind me on a daily basis what it's all really about. For reals.
